17,000 Attendances at Parco Giardino Sigurtà for Magico Mondo del Cosplay in Valeggio
The Magico Mondo del Cosplay at Parco Giardino Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio drew about 17,000 attendees from 4 to 6 September, including cosplayers and visitors, for its 20th edition. The event—covering music, shows, parades and meetups across 60 hectares—ran for the first time over three days, featuring two main stages, itinerant entertainment, games and themed set designs amid the park’s summer blooms.
On Friday, the programme opened with main-stage performances themed around Disney villains, video games and pirates, alongside a new K-pop area with music, choreography and performances. Saturday included a main-stage karaoke format for cartoons, K-pop acts and “Evil Like Me,” a show by Sebs and LaValend focused on villain characters, while the evening featured Gem Boy and radio host Omar Fantini, with Giorgia Vecchini as guest. Sunday brought two cosplayer parades led by Vecchini, K-pop performances, a talk and voice-acting segment with Pietro Ubaldi, and a closing live by Giorgio Vanni, followed by additional highlights such as the Cosplay Village sets and a large furry gathering, plus an exhibition of more than 20 Itasha cars.
The event also showcased Itachari (custom bicycles), gaming and technology experiences including virtual reality and laser tag, and photo-ready themed installations. The next edition of Magico Mondo del Cosplay is scheduled for 3–5 September 2027.
