Produced by The Apartment (a Fremantle company), the show will stream exclusively on Disney+, though a release date has not yet been announced.
Director Laura Bispuri, known for winning a David di Donatello award and competing at the Berlin Film Festival with Sworn Virgin and Daughter of Mine, leads the ambitious project.
A Wedding on a Private Island on Lake Garda
The plot unfolds during an exclusive wedding on a private island on Lake Garda. The groom, Leopoldo Vigevani (played by Saul Nanni), is the heir to one of the most powerful and wealthy families in the country, while the bride is influencer Eva Bianchi (Margherita Buoncristiani). The protagonist is Lara (Carlotta Antonelli), an aspiring journalist and the fiancée of the groom’s brother, who feels out of place in this elite world.
