On Saturday 31 October, traffic around Lake Garda is affected mainly by the Halloween event in Gargnano, which closes the town centre from the afternoon, and by a series of roadworks that require alternating one-way traffic in Lonato del Garda, Desenzano del Garda and Lazise.
Events and lakeside promenades
In Gargnano, parking is banned from 15:30 in Piazza Feltrinelli, and vehicles will be towed away. From 16:00, traffic is closed on Via Roma and Via XXIV Maggio until the event ends.
In Toscolano Maderno, the Beato Maria Escrivà lakeside promenade, near the small harbour, is closed from 19 October to 6 November because of works in the port area. On weekends and public holidays it reopens to pedestrians and cyclists.
Roadworks in the lake towns
Desenzano del Garda. On Via Marconi, between Viale Andreis and Via Gramsci, the lane towards Sirmione is closed every night from 21:00 to 06:00 until 31 October. The carriageway is also narrowed along the same stretch. On Via Ugo La Malfa, alternating one-way traffic, controlled by traffic marshals or traffic lights from 08:00 to 19:00, remains in place during resurfacing until 31 October.
Lonato del Garda. Alternating one-way traffic, with a parking ban and towing, applies on Via Industria and Via Aldo Moro from 26 October to 13 November. On Via Fenil Nuovo Molini, near Via Fenil Schena, the same arrangement lasts until 16 November. On Via Rassica, alternating one-way traffic remains in place until 31 October from 08:00 to 17:00, between Via Isonzo and number 22. On Via Lazzaretto, driving and parking are banned until 31 October from 08:30 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 18:00, except for residents and the contractor, because of works on a new electricity network.
Lazise. From 21 October to 6 November, from 07:30 to 18:00 and excluding holidays, alternating one-way traffic with a parking ban is in force on Via Confine, Via Venezia, Vicolo Confine, Via del Burlin and Via Derna, while fibre optic cables are laid. Access for emergency vehicles is guaranteed.
Arco. On Via Baldessari, the road is closed to traffic until 31 October along the section affected by the works. Residents can still pass, and the parking spaces are reserved for their access.
Trentino
In Dro, in the hamlet of Ceniga, Via Santi Pietro e Paolo is closed to traffic from 28 October to 4 November while a trench is dug for fibre optic cables.
In Ledro, at Tiarno di Sopra, traffic is banned on Via Alcide De Gasperi on Saturday 31 October from 07:00 to 18:00 for a connection to the water mains.
