Starting from Monday, February 10, the SerD/NOA service will be relocating to the premises of the Salò hospital, which were previously occupied by AVIS. The announcement was made by ASST del Garda, which explained that the NOA, a territorial health service dedicated to issues related to alcohol and tobacco use, and the SerD, which provides support for those dealing with addictions, will find a new home within the historic facility. This decision follows a series of events that have seen the service move from Salò to Prevalle and now back to the historic center of Salò.
The municipal administration clarified that the management of the service is not under their jurisdiction and has initiated a dialogue with ASST to understand the operational aspects of the new service. It was specified that the SerD will use the spaces for activities such as social and educational interviews, avoiding the distribution of medications. This approach aims to ensure a balance between the necessary healthcare assistance and the tranquility of the local community, in anticipation of the future Community House planned for 2026.
