Public meeting in San Felice del Benaco, April 14th at 6 pm at Ex Monte di Pietà, entitled “Standing there, motionless, in silence. Even absence… is violence.”, is dedicated to the issue of violence against women. The event highlights not only the aspects of physical and psychological violence, but also the impact of indifference and lack of action in the fight against this phenomenon.
The event will feature many speakers including Donatella Albini, Silvia Amadasi, Claudia Beschi, Susanna Boccalari, Anna Bussi, Silvia Contessi, Carla Ebli, Alba Fenice, Aurora Forte, Francesca Garioni, Francesca Mazzitelli, Maddalena Miccio, Elena Stefania Pietra, and Silvia Polo. Also present will be Anna Sparavier, Mayor Simone Zuin, Vanna Toinelli, author Silvia Polo, witness Prascaroa Garland, and Catia Pasquali from the Chiare Acque Anti-Violence Center.
Musical Accompaniment: The atmosphere of the event will be enriched by the music of Aligi Colombi and Fosneescé Apostoli.
The main objective of the meeting is to raise awareness in the community about violence against women, promoting a culture of non-violence and respect. Through testimonies, dialogues, and interventions, the aim is to stimulate deep reflection on how society can actively act against this phenomenon.
