A 63-year-old cyclist was struck yesterday afternoon, Friday, May 2, while riding along the Provincial Road 25 on the outskirts of Lonato del Garda. The incident occurred around 5:30 PM and involved a single vehicle; the circumstances are currently under investigation by the Traffic Police. Emergency services were alerted immediately and arrived on the scene with a red code ambulance and a medical car from Brescia.
Fortunately, the cyclist’s condition turned out to be less severe than initially feared, allowing for his transport to the hospital under yellow code. As a result of the accident, traffic on the SP25 experienced delays to facilitate rescue operations and investigations by law enforcement.
