Desenzano del Garda: Drug Trafficking, Arrest in the Act. In recent days, an operation by the State Police led to the arrest of an Italian man caught in the act of drug trafficking and resisting a public official. Officers observed the individual making a delivery to a motorist and, despite being ordered to stop, he attempted to flee on an electric scooter. After a brief chase, he was apprehended and resisted arrest.
During a personal search, officers discovered several doses of cocaine inside a case and various denominations of banknotes suspected to be proceeds from illegal activities. Further checks at his residence revealed additional narcotics (cocaine and hashish) and precision scales. The man, already known to law enforcement for similar offenses, was taken to court for a validation hearing and subsequently transferred to Brescia prison.
