ASD Garda Karate Team Trains at Rifugio Granata for Yuuki’s Wild Summer Camp

From 4 to 6 September, ASD Garda Karate Team took part in the Yuuki Wild Summer Camp at Rifugio Giuseppe Granata in Campei de Sima, hosting a three-day programme focused on values such as respect, trust and team spirit. The camp combined training with outdoor “life lessons”, aiming to build cohesion among young athletes beyond the dojo.

During the event, participants worked on group cooperation through time spent together at the refuge. A key moment was the meeting with the Canine Unit of Moniga, part of Italy’s Civil Protection, where athletes observed search-and-rescue dogs and learned how teamwork and trust are essential to reach shared goals. The schedule also included practical sessions on land navigation and basic alpine first-aid, teaching participants how to read the terrain and respond responsibly in emergencies.

The camp concluded on Sunday with a family lunch and community gathering at the refuge. Organisers thanked the Alpini for their support, highlighting their role in ensuring smooth logistics and a welcoming atmosphere. The team said the weekend’s friendships and shared moments will stay with them, adopting the motto “Memento audere semper” for their next event.
