Asparagus-Focused Dinner and Scientific Tests at Peschiera Event

On the banquet tables, there is a boom in asparagus, a typical dish of elite cuisine. This fact has not escaped the members of the Associazione Arma Aeronautica of Peschiera, who have decided to pay homage to the asparagus by organizing a themed evening on Friday.

The Culinary Symposium and Its Historical-Culinary Introduction

The culinary symposium, open to everyone, will be held at the Al Fiore restaurant. It will begin with an intriguing historical-culinary preface, through which attendees can learn about the importance of asparagus over the centuries: from its use by the Egyptians, to the veneration in ancient Greece, up to its arrival in the Roman Empire.

For the sons of the wolf, it seems that it was even considered an aphrodisiac food. Building on this note, theory will be followed by practice: a dinner featuring an asparagus-based menu will be served. The potential aphrodisiac properties will then be tested with a fun-filled conclusion to the evening.

Scientific Tests and Recreational Activities

Drawing from American expertise, aviators borrowed an electronic device from a research laboratory capable of measuring the skin’s “electrical resistivity,” thus creating a sort of lie detector. It will therefore be possible to uncover the truth about those who tend to talk a lot on the subject.

«The volunteers who undergo this scientific test», amusingly notes Enzo Monico, president of the aviators, «will have to contend with potential witty informants, who can express themselves with the most hidden questions, immediately verifying the sincerity of the subject».

As a gift to participants, a videocassette on aeronautical topics and some airplane posters will be provided. To join the evening, it is necessary to register immediately by contacting Eliseo Cussolotto, 045.640.0376; Luigi Marchi, 045.755.3086; Giordano Rocca, 045.755.2843.
