The intense rainfall over the past 24 hours has caused a significant rise in the water level of Lake Garda, which has increased by 5.5 centimeters. This increase corresponds to an inflow of approximately 18.5 million cubic meters of water into the lake basin. The weather phenomenon has brought the water level back to the measurements recorded on May 29th, when AIPo and the Garda Community had already increased the outflows at the Salionze regulating building to 160 cubic meters per second, exceeding the maximum allowed by regulations.
Despite the rise in the water level and the observed waves this morning, no significant disruptions have been reported along the Verona and Brescia shores of the lake, including the town of Salò. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation to prevent any problems due to the persistent bad weather.
