The recent wave of bad weather has caused significant disruption and damage in various areas around Lake Garda. Heavy rain and strong winds have hit the area hard, causing landslides, damage, and flooding.
On Sunday, October 23, the Gardesana 45 bis road was temporarily closed. The affected section is located in the municipality of Saló, specifically between the junction with Via Seminario and the one leading to the Renzano hamlet. Local police forces were called in to manage the situation and ensure safety.
Now, the arrival of Anas technicians is awaited to carry out a detailed assessment of the damage suffered by the road. The goal is to determine the necessary conditions for a potential reopening, even if limited to one-way traffic.
Not only has the Gardesana road experienced interruptions; Via Panoramica, which connects Gardesana to the hilly hamlets of Serniga and San Bartolomeo, has also been closed due to the poor weather conditions.
Another significant incident occurred in Manerba, where a motorist was rescued after being trapped on a flooded road. This incident further highlights the risks posed by the bad weather in the Lake Garda region.
