Bicycle accident in Nago: cyclist dies after fatal collision
A serious cycling accident occurred yesterday, Friday, September 5, along the scenic road connecting Nago to Torbole, resulting in the death of a 52-year-old Polish cyclist. The incident took place near the Belvedere shortly after 6:30 PM, while the woman was descending on her bike with some friends. During a turn, she reportedly lost control of her bike, crashing violently into a roadside wall and remaining unconscious on the asphalt.
Emergency services, including paramedics, the Riva del Garda Fire Brigade, and the Carabinieri, were promptly alerted and arrived at the scene. Given the severity of her condition, a medical helicopter was requested with a specialized medical team. After stabilizing the cyclist on-site, she was urgently transported to Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento; however, despite the intensive efforts of the medical staff, the cyclist passed away in the intensive care unit later that evening.
