A bicycle theft incident concluded successfully in Arco, where a citizen recognized his stolen bike from about a month ago. While out for a walk, he noticed a young man riding a bicycle identical to his and promptly alerted the carabinieri. The officers responded quickly and found the suspect attempting to hide the city bike in the bushes.
The young man, a foreign national residing in a municipality in the Busa area, was unable to provide credible explanations for his possession of the bike. After calling the legitimate owner to the scene, he confirmed that it was indeed his bicycle, valued at approximately 250 euros. The bike was seized and returned to its owner, while the young man was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rovereto for theft.
