The municipality of Gargnano is preparing to host a significant cultural event, offering a unique opportunity for enthusiasts of history and literature at the Lake Garda. The initiative, titled “Rediscovering History… Meeting the Authors,” will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and will feature two writers ready to present their works to the public. This event represents a chance to delve into topics related to local news and history within a context of great cultural interest. The Authors and Their Works The literary meeting will spotlight Gian Luca d’Aguanno and Enrico Mirani. The former, Lieutenant Colonel of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri in Brescia, will present his book “La Tomba del Cane,” the third installment in the investigative series featuring Captain Spadafora. This work blends elements of investigative journalism with narrative fiction, capturing the attention of a wide readership. Alongside him, Enrico Mirani, a former journalist for the “Giornale di Brescia,” will discuss his work “Il Brigadiere del Carmine e l’Oro della Patria,” a text that explores a specific historical period between 1935 and 1936, focusing on the city of Brescia. His historical research provides a detailed look at past events and figures, making it an unmissable event for those interested in local history. Location and Event Details The presentation will take place in a venue of significant historical and architectural value: the Ancient Library of the Canonica di Gargnano, located at via Don Primo Adami 46. The event, which is free of charge, will begin at 4 PM. Participation is open to all until seats are filled, further confirming the municipality’s commitment to making culture accessible to both residents and tourists. Roberta Ghirardi will moderate the discussion with the authors, guiding the conversation and allowing participants to discover insights and behind-the-scenes details of the presented works.
