The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, visited the Parco Natura Viva in Bussolengo over the weekend, where he was welcomed by CEO Umberto Maccario. This visit provided an important opportunity to discuss the educational and social role that the park, which has been active for 56 years, plays as a reference point for families and the education of new generations. During the tour, Fontana was guided by the park staff, with particular attention given to endangered species such as the South American tapir, giant otters, and chimpanzees. Fontana emphasized the importance of the park in promoting biodiversity and environmental education: “It is a place where families can rediscover the sense of sharing and direct contact with the environment.” Parco Natura Viva thus confirms its role as a fundamental player in the local community, with an anticipated projection of around 630,000 visitors by 2025, a testament to its commitment to biodiversity conservation and its strong connection to the territory. Maccario highlighted how the park continues to enhance its social role through initiatives aimed at fostering knowledge and respect for the environment. Italian Version
