Calcinato is at the center of a new incident of waste dumping, with a significant amount of bags and plastic wrappers found in a green area on via Gavardina di Sotto. This event, reported by the Calcinato Citizens’ Committee on March 28, has turned the area into a veritable improvised dump, provoking outrage among residents. Through videos and photos shared on social media, the committee has denounced the extraordinary accumulation of abandoned waste, which occurred rapidly and without anyone noticing.
The situation is not isolated; in fact, the Committee has highlighted that similar incidents have occurred repeatedly over time, calling for more decisive action from the local administration. “We are shocked and outraged,” declared the committee members, emphasizing the need for appropriate penalties for those who dump waste. Many citizens are demanding strengthened control measures to protect the territory, lamenting that every month issues related to tons of garbage reappear, spoiling the landscape and threatening public health.
