The Canottieri Garda Salò achieved an outstanding result at the Regional Swimming Championships held in Lodi, winning a total of 12 medals, including 2 golds, 3 silvers, and 6 bronzes. The competitions took place over two weekends, from July 4 to 6 and from July 10 to 13, at the Sporting Club Faustina pool. This success allowed three athletes from the team to qualify for the upcoming Italian Championships, which will be held in August in Chianciano Terme.
Among the standout performers was Beatrice Chiappini, who secured three qualifications thanks to her silver in the 400 individual medley and bronzes in the 200 and 400 freestyle, along with an additional bronze in the 200 backstroke. Giovanni Tononi and Camilla Usardi also demonstrated excellent performances in the Youth category. Other notable results include Matteo Vimercati, who won gold in the 200 breaststroke, and Samuele Ziglioli, who earned medals in the middle-distance events. Coaches Chiara Chiappini and Maurizio Pompele expressed great satisfaction with the results achieved by their athletes.
