A peculiar incident occurred in Salò on August 5, 2024, when a couple of foreign tourists accidentally struck a supporting column of a car wash, leading to the collapse of the structure. The incident took place around 4 PM and required the intervention of the Salò fire department, an ambulance from the Roè Volciano station, and a local police patrol.
Fortunately, the driver of the car involved was extracted from the vehicle by the firefighters and only suffered a significant scare. The causes of the incident are currently under investigation.
