A serious health crisis struck a two-year-old boy on Saturday afternoon while he was at the municipal swimming pool in Salò, managed by the Canottieri Garda Sports Society, with his mother. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM, turning a peaceful day into a medical emergency as the child suddenly lost consciousness. Rescuers were alerted immediately, and within minutes, the Volunteers of Garda arrived on the scene, followed by a medical emergency vehicle from the Asst Garda coming from the Gavardo hospital.
After assessing the child’s critical condition, air rescue was requested, and the boy was transported under a red code to the hospital in Bergamo for urgent care. The causes of the health crisis remain unknown and are currently under investigation.
