On January 26, a commemorative ceremony will be held in Rovizza to mark the 82nd anniversary of the Battle of Nikolajewka, a significant event that honors the fallen in the 1943 campaign in Russia. This initiative is organized by the Sirmione Alpine Group in collaboration with the local Administration, featuring a detailed program that will begin at 9:30 AM with a gathering at the Sports Group headquarters.
The ceremony will continue at 10:30 AM with the raising of the flag and a parade through the streets of Rovizza, accompanied by the town band. At 11:00 AM, a Holy Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Sant’Orsola, followed at 12:00 PM by the laying of a wreath at the Alpini Monument in memory of the fallen, during which local authorities will speak. The day will conclude with a lunch at the Loda tavern.
