Community Collaboration Supports Vulnerable Groups in Cornuda Initiative

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
