Community Initiative Launched to Support Vulnerable Residents in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the groups most in need. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote the importance of social inclusion and to improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.
