Community Initiative Supports Vulnerable Residents with Regional Funding

Beginning of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was signed at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ^’ initiative, including the mayor, representatives of Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the ^’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.

Activities and Expected Objectives

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups most in need.

Social transportation and services, listening centers, and community gathering places will also be enhanced.
