Cornuda Begins Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transport will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
