Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the district association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funding allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has reaffirmed its commitment to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
