Cornuda Launches Social Support Initiative for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing security and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
