Cornuda Social Support Project Sparks Local Collaboration Efforts

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting these initiatives by providing security services and coordinating among the various involved entities.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
