Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Elderly and Disabled
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most disadvantaged social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and aggregation centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
