Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the socially most vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the^’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the^’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community funds.

Activities and Planned Goals

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most at risk.

Furthermore, social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
