Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention took place at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of Neighborhood Associations, and several volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will be enhanced.
