Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community engagement and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring supervision services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the convention exemplifies a collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
