Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
Activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
