Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.
Transport services, social transportation, listening centers, and gathering centers will also be expanded.
