Cornuda Social Inclusion Project: Funding, Goals, and Community Roles
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the socially more vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total sum allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Transport services for social purposes will also be enhanced, along with listening centers and gathering spaces.
