Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring supervision and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
