Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with EU Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ initiative, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ’ initiative totals approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the more vulnerable categories.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and meeting points will also be enhanced.
