Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with EU Funding in 1996

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the day beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transport will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
