Cornuda Social Initiative: EU-Funded Support for Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims especially to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include in-home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the target groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
