Cornuda Social Support Initiative Enhances Life for Elderly and Disabled
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
