Cornuda Social Support Initiative Enhances Lives of Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
