Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Boost Elderly and Disabled Inclusion

On June 9, 1996, a conference was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various participating entities.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
