Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion and Community Care

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives from the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, mainly intends to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has pledged its support to the initiatives by ensuring security and coordination services among the different involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations.
