Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Improve Elderly & Disabled Lives
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in the organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
