Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Improve Vulnerable Citizens’ Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included local political and social representatives, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing supervision and coordination services among the various involved entities.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
