Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Inclusion

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative’s implementation is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active community participation.
