Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Inclusion
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
