Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Lives

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing security and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
