Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Welfare

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.
