Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives by ensuring services for monitoring and coordinating the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
