Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically seeks to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, while also creating opportunities for community encounters and solidarity.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various participating components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
